About

Glad you have made it here.

Welcome. I’m Christin Grice. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Sex Therapist with 15 years of experience helping people have the conversations they’ve been avoiding about intimacy, relationships, and self. My work is direct, affirming, and focused on real, lasting change. __________________________________________________________________ My Approach: if you’re here, you’ve already taken a courageous first step. Reaching out for support around sexuality can feel vulnerable. You may be struggling with porn addiction or compulsive sexual behaviors. You might feel caught in patterns around cruising for sex, anonymous encounters, or hookup culture that leave you feeling conflicted, disconnected, or ashamed. Perhaps you’re experiencing performance anxiety, changes in desire, sexual pain, or questions about identity. Whatever brings you here, you are not alone and you are not broken. I provide a confidential, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly about topics that are often difficult to talk about anywhere else. My approach is compassionate, affirming, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I work with individual adults, including gay men who want support navigating cruising, hookup patterns, intimacy challenges, or the emotional impact of sexual experiences. Whether your goal is reducing compulsive behaviors, understanding the deeper needs driving them, building healthier boundaries, or creating more meaningful connection, we will explore it together with curiosity rather than shame. If you’re struggling with porn addiction or compulsive sexual behavior, we will look beyond the behavior itself. Together, we’ll examine underlying emotional triggers, attachment patterns, trauma, stress, and coping strategies. You’ll develop practical tools to manage urges, increase self-awareness, and build a sexuality that feels aligned with your values and long-term well-being. __________________________________________________________________ Sex Therapy What Sex Therapy Is: Sex therapy is a specialized form of talk therapy that focuses on intimacy, relationships, and sexual well-being. It helps individuals and couples explore concerns such as communication, desire differences, performance anxiety, identity, and emotional or physical barriers to connection. The work is collaborative, educational, and grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can better understand themselves and their relationships. What Sex Therapy Is Not: Sex therapy is not physical or hands-on in any way. There is no sexual contact, demonstration, or explicit activity during sessions. It is not about judgment, pressure, or quick fixes. Instead, it is a professional, ethical process led by a licensed therapist that supports clients in building healthier, more fulfilling intimate lives at their own pace. __________________________________________________________________ Individual Sex Therapy: Individual therapy can help with sexual anxiety, low libido, erectile concerns, difficulty with orgasm, sexual shame or guilt, exploring sexual identity, healing after sexual trauma, and building sexual confidence. __________________________________________________________________ Education & Training: California State University, Monterey Bay Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences, Minor in Psychology, 2007 John F. Kennedy University Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, 2010 California Institute of Integral Studies,2024 Completed Advanced Studies, Sex Therapy Certification __________________________________________________________________ Consultation: I offer a free 20-minute consultation, available Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is an opportunity for you to share more about what’s bringing you in, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of how I work. Together, we can explore whether my approach feels like the right fit for your needs and goals. __________________________________________________________________ For Physicians and Urologists: I collaborate with physicians and urologists to provide comprehensive, integrated care for patients experiencing sexual health concerns. Many challenges such as erectile difficulties, performance anxiety, low desire, and intimacy-related stress benefit from both medical and psychological support. I offer a confidential and collaborative approach that supports your treatment goals while addressing the emotional, relational, and behavioral aspects of sexual health. If you are interested in coordinating care or referring a patient, please feel free to reach out to discuss how we can work together. __________________________________________________________________ FAQ: Is online sex therapy confidential? Yes. Sessions take place through secure telehealth platforms and follow the same confidentiality standards as in-person therapy. Do I need to be in a relationship to see a sex therapist? No. Many clients attend therapy individually to explore their own relationship with sexuality, confidence, or identity. Is it normal to feel nervous talking about sex? Absolutely. Many people feel hesitant at first. Creating a safe and respectful environment is an important part of the process. How long does therapy last? It depends on your goals. Some clients attend for a few months, while others work longer to address deeper patterns. __________________________________________________________________ Press and Media: I am available for media features, interviews, and speaking opportunities on topics related to relationships, intimacy, men’s mental health, and sexual wellness. My work focuses on providing clear, culturally relevant, and accessible insights that resonate with diverse audiences. Freelance Writing and Creative Work: In addition to my clinical work, I am available for freelance writing opportunities in the areas of relationships, intimacy, and sexual wellness, including erotic fiction. My writing centers emotional depth, authenticity, and nuanced storytelling that reflects diverse experiences and perspectives. I am open to collaborating with publications, platforms, and creative projects seeking thoughtful, engaging content. For writing inquiries or collaborations, please reach out through the contact page. __________________________________________________________________ If You Are in Crisis If you feel like you are in crisis or need immediate support, please do not wait to get help. Call or text **988**, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, to connect with trained counselors 24 hours a day. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
